bigbill, funny you should mention spike strips! last Saturday night, probably about 3 A.M. I figure, some a$$holes drove over my lawn and spun their tires when leaving...I live on a corner lot and I think they were probably drunk and ripping around town and just decided to cut the corner a bit across my lawn. I was sleeping...had a bit of a head cold and had taken some cold medication...didn't hear a thing...anyway, I thought I'd call it in so it was documented in case I was ever lucky enough to catch the jerks...maybe the judge would go easy on me...I told the cop I was going to put a spike belt across my lawn next weekend...apparently I can't do that...I'm not allowed to "booby-trap" my property...you see, maybe someone could get hurt...WTF?
