Stone, far as I'm concerned, anybody who wakes my kid at midnight riding a loud dirt bike repeatedly around the town without lights while DRUNK is asking to get bricked...you bear in mind, my friend, that I live in town without any police dept., and repsonse time would be minimum 30 minutes IF I was lucky and they responded at all! Let me also tell you this...when the cops did show up that night, and I told him I had a brick, he shook his head and laughed...btw, charges were never laid in this incident.
When I ride my Triumph in residential neighbourhoods, I ride respectfully cuz I know people live there...also, I do not ride up and down repeatedly...
you say you have had your kids take an ATV safety course and you make them obey the laws...well, there ya go...do I have a problem with that...no, I don't...that sounds like responsible parenting to me...but it's my feeling that you're in the minority...and if kids don't have anything to do how's about parents play some football with them, go fly a kite, take them fishing? seems to me there's lots for kids to do if parents will spend some time with them...I do...
