I wasn't going to comment here, but I've changed my mind, and I'm wondering if I'll regret it. Some of you may not like what I'm going to say, but...here goes. Firstly, let me be absolutely clear on one thing...I DO NOT condone what these people did! But I can relate to people getting sick and tired of dirt bikes tear-assing up and down roads, and the noise associated with it. I HATE dirt bikes, (and quads make me puke too) and my experiences with the people who ride around on these has NOT been good. A number of familes here in town have bought their kids dirt bikes and quads...and some of the adults have them too! The parents are too farking lazy to take their kids to a track and so they rip around the streets, or the fields just across the road on the outskirts of town. It's dangerous and annoying! One night at midnight some punk kid having a party (400 attendees and lots of booze!) decided at midnight to rip around the town...with no lights on either! After about the 3rd trip around, I got myself a brick, and if he had passed by again, I WOULD have knocked him off that bike with it! I know of instances where people on quads have beat up a farmer for telling them to get off his land! These are off-road vehicles and belong off the GD road, and far enough away from populated areas so that others do not have to listen to them. I've gotten p!ssed off a few times and I think people are getting the idea that you need to keep these things off the streets and show some respect. Personally, I think there should be laws that prohibit these bloody machines from being operated within a km of any dwellings. And don't even get me started on the farking rednecks who have to get drunk and ride these things around!
