Just 6'2" but it sure took away the buffeting for me...

I have the factory Triumph roadster screen and am 6' 5" tall. Helmet buffeting is horrible and is made worse by the fact I wear glasses.
I don't know John,
I am 6'5" (3/4 helmet, w/goggles) and rode with the roadster screen for 3 years. Buffeting was a nuisance at times, but not unbearable. I bought the extra sized clearview (4" higher, 2" wider) last July. The top of the screen is about bridge of my nose height. It works pretty well, I'd rate it a step up from the roadster screen. Never tried lowers. Fortunately I cracked it a bit when I knocked the bike over in the driveway last week . The only time I really notice "buffeting" is riding +75 into a strong headwind.
I think my noggin is just dense enough that buffeting hasn't been a problem. Or it is a problem, but I am just dense enough that I don't realize it. Either way, I win .
Good luck. The extra sized clearview works for me, but it looks huge, until you get used to it. I like the style of Ramsound's (?) custom clearview better, but it doesn't fit the roadster brackets to my knowledge. Maybe I just need to ditch the whole works .
Again, good luck.

Once you ride with a screen for a long haul, after doing it without...you will never give it up. In hindsight, The Memphis Shades is the stuff I like bestest. The ease of installation and removal is genius! Jane has one on her Magna (maybe I should just buy some fork clamps ) and I wish I had known about it before I paid the stealer to take my money. I have the Roadster and like it a lot and it seems to fit my size perfectly. I get buffetting, but it's like anything else on the ride, thngs shake rattle and roll. Go with the flow.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

Another vote for the Memphis Fats with lowers. No buffeting at any speed, even with my Shoei St. Tropez mushroom head 1/2 helmet with visor. I still get enough wind that I don't feel the screen needs any ventilation.
Now the bad news - $290 (includes shipping) for the whole setup with lowers. The good news - replacement screen is $55. More good news - the entire windshield and lowers can be removed and re-installed in a matter of a minute or two, so one can have the best of both worlds. The bracketry is very simple, yet very effective. I've gone as fast as a 19 tooth sprocket will go, and no part of the screen or brackets moves or vibrates at any speed.
If I had it to do over again, I'd get the black bottom screen, to filter out some high beam light pollution that gets back to the driver if one is running driving lights. The black might lessen the big screen on a medium sized bike look too.
As others have posted, (and I admit I was skeptical) the lowers are key to removing the last of the buffeting. Don't ask me why, but it's true. Plus the lowers make a right handy EZ Pass mount.

It's perhaps not a look that would suit everyone's taste, but an old fart like me can get away with it.

I'm a 6 footer and even I find the stock summer screen a little low. My winter project is to see if I can fab one up myself (will keep me occupied for when I can't ride). Just a complete experiment, I will most likely end up buying one from Clearview anyway but I love to make a mess in my garage.
Just my 2cents
07 TBA Pacific Blue and White.. stock for now!
A bike has half the wheels my cage does.. but 3x the fun factor

Well, I took the advice of an earlier post and adjusted my roadster screen. I gently bent the lower brackets a little straighter and it moved the top edge about 2 inches closer to my helmet. The screen is almost, not quite, but almost parallel with the fork rake. I won't be able to test the new tilt for a week though, I'm headed out for a business trip to Boulder CO all next week.
I'll let ya'll know if it made a difference when I get back.
