Watch out for these morons. I ordered two tires and two tubes and two rim strips from them. Well take a looksee at the tubes they sent me.

Ovalized valve stem-->

Guess what? It cost me 10 bucks to return and they charged me a RESTOCKING fee! What a fricken bunch of morons. What do they intend to do with these? Re-ship them to some other fool?

Oh yeah, the front avon was 14 months old.

BEWARE of these ripoff artist.

In this day and age of heavy competition, you would think vendors would bend over backwards to make certain the customer is happy and ensure repeat business. But noooooo....

I just emailed them this:

To whom it may concern,

A friend of mine recently purchased tires, tubes, and rim strips from you. He reported his disappointment to me and hundreds of other members on the website www.bonnevilleamerica.com concerning the poor condition of his purchases. To make matters worse, you charged him a RESTOCKING fee for defective equipment!

I trust my friend completely and know that he would not be complaining unless there was a legitimate reason. Your complete lack of customer service has made me cross you off my list of tire related resources.

Shame on you,

Phil Earnshaw

To Whom it may concern,

I was just made aware of your treatment of a member of our board, www.bonnevilleamerica.com (as were the rest of the hundreds of members)

Restocking charge for defective equipment your ship??? What a great racket! How many times do you need to resell that item before it's paid for! Further selling tires that are 14 months old is, in my opinion, both unsafe and unscrupulous!! If my bike had sat unused for that long I would be checking the tires for dry rot and replacing them!

In this day of email, internet, and forum web sites such as ours, good news and customer service travels fast, bad news and horrid customer service travels even faster!

We make it a practice to report on those companies who treat us well, and many will shop there.
We also make it a practice to report on those who treat us poorly or worse, as in your case, just plain rip us off!

Obviously the date stamp on the tire shows that your inventory is not moving that quickly...with continued customer service as you have demonstrated, I expect it will sit there just a little longer.

I will not be using Motorcycle Pro Shop for any of my future purchases, and I will be sure to tell others to do the same!

Sincerely,

Rob Johnson

just got this....NOT OUR FAULT TOUGH email!!!

Please be aware these items were drop shipped from a national distributor and were neither defective or old. All we can do is try to please as many people as we can, if the customer had let us replace the tires, we would have gladly. The email is appreciated but doesn't change the way we or the national distributor does business. If the customer would have asked for help instead of just bad mouthing us we would and will gladly give it. Please check your information to better informed before posting negative things and not checking the information from of your members. Call me if you have questions.

"To whom it may concern,

You have sent sub-standard equipment to one of our members of bonnevilleamerica.com then had the nerve to charge him to ship it back and a restock fee. You are now at last count on the top of the list of vendors not to use on about 10 bike boards.

We will make this grow and grow. We hope to hurt your where it counts, in your wallet.

Shame on you! Why don't get a real job rather than be a real ripoff artist. You are not appreciated.

I and many of the people I know (at least 6 of us) buy tires/tubes from these people. We we have never had a problem with them. I was just wondering the date on the tires being 14 months? Just as a question, are you sure it was not 14 weeks? (dates are posted as week/year) It sure disapoints me that they would not work with you in getting replacements for at least the tubes. The one time I bought from another place the tires where 3 years old and wore out in less than 3000 miles.

To Whom it may concern,

I was in the process of looking for some new tires for my 02 Triumph America. I had several choices until I read the following on www.bonnevilleamerica.com. I regret to inform you that I will not be purchasing any of your products now or in the future! I feel that if it was your mistake then there should not have been a restocking fee and you should have done all in your power to make the order correct.

Sincerely,

Just sent this.

The tires on my '03 Triumph are soon to be replaced. A friend of mine
recently bought a set of tires, tubes and rim strips for his Triumph
from you. When he got them, the valve stems on the tubes were damaged
and one of the tires was over a year old.
He attempted to return these defective/outdated items and you made him
pay return shipping and charged him a restocking fee. Now, this tells
me a few things about your company:
1. You feel your customers should accept and pay for any damaged goods
you might decide to send them.
2. When someone does decide to return unusable items to you, you just
put them back on the shelf and ship them to the next poor sap who
orders from you.
3. You are either so arrogent or so ignorent that you don't care how
badly this sort of treatment might upset your customers.

Are you not aware of how competitive the motorcycle aftermarket business
is these days? Are you not aware of how fast and far news travels these
days when you cheat a customer? Even if you learn from this experience
and start dealing with defective returns in a more appropriate manner,
it is too late to win back some 1400 potential customers who have heard
about this incident and moved you to the top of their collective dis-
qualified vendor lists. I know for certain that at least 5 people plus
myself will be buying tires in the very near future, fromsomeone else.

I just read the post about the reply from Darrin, the arrogance
just about made me sick. I e-mailed 'em with some
suggestions as to how they should conduct business.

I feel that we are a large family that spends a lot of money
on our beloved bikes. It ticks me off when somebody messes
with family. Bombarding these dirtbags with negative e-mails
is the way to go.

Power to the people!
Keep it up!

If you read the first line of the reply that Rob posted from them it will tell you right off one of their problems. They don't stock anything. They just place orders with a distributor who ships them. Motorcycleproshop.com never gets to see the products. If they were smart, when there are problems with defective products, they should never charge any return/restocking fee. They should have their distributor make good on it all. If it is something that happens more than a few times, they need to look for a new distributor.

Thanks everyone,

I don't expect any satisfaction frrm Motor Cycle Pro Shop. After all, just read their email response to some of our members. BTW, here is/was my final email to those buggers,

"Ok you guys. Take another look at these pictures. Tell me you didn't restock these! I sent the large photos so your small memories may be refreshed. I guess you guys don't ride motorsickles. If you do, you would install these tubes under YOUR tyres?

PS: I want my $6.27 cents credited to my card and I would like the return shipping charges refunded to me as well for your arrogance in shipping to me blatantly defective products. Shipping charges to return Both of your crap tubes was $9.99.

Can you tell I am pissed that you charged me a fricken 10% to restock an unsellable item? What is your gig? To purposefully sell bad products knowing you are going for a 10% cut? Dang, you guys blow."

So there you have it. Motor Cycle Pro Ripoffs responded to some members here, but not to me myself and I. So why didn't I return the tyre? Are we kidding ourselves? Anyone know how much it cost to ship a tire ifn you are joe public? I'll wear these skins out in a year so the tire(s) will still be retired by the time most Hardley riders go for their first post break in oil change. I needed these tires for the GA Rally. Lastly, what is to say that I wouldn’t have been burned again? Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice and S&W gets hefted.

When Stern12 (Chris) had an issue he was truly being hit in his wallet real bad like. Me? I got popped for a measly 17 bucks. I was lucky. Not many of us get that kind of Luck though. So the point of my announcement was to steer the collective away from MotorCycleProShop, not for every-one to hammer them. (Like I don’t love it when you guys and gals do just that though!) hehe.

Lot’s of times the issues boil down to principle. Forget the money the point is …

So thanks fellow brothers and sisters and remember to think twice before dealing with the disreputable children at MotorCycleProShop.

Happy Monday. Tis a beautiful day!

Eyes can feel the love.

Do we have a vendor blacklist in the Tech Vault yet? I'm thinking we should start one.

I am not ready to let this thread die yet. I have been waiting for a response from the company for some time. I feel partly responsible for some of the folks on this site using the company for tires/tubes and whatnot. If need be, I live not too far from the "warehouse" and will make a personal appearance, with others from around here, to try and get some answers and let them know having unhappy campers may not be good for business. The following is what I sent today, and the response to it. I am not including all the email history to save some space and time. And yes, I took a different approach to it giving them every opportunity to tell "their side".

I will forward this to my manager, I apologize, but I don't know anything about this situation.

Well I will give this email one more try. I can only assume that a no response will confirm the problems mentioned below in the original email sent Saturday May 20th. My alternative will be to withdraw my recommendation to all the folks I have recommended your company to, which includes the 6-8 people here (one of which just bought a tire from you) and the 1400+ strong at http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/forums/ubbthreads.php

I was only asking for clarification, not accusing your business of anything.

The beauty of this site can be found in people like you Jack and don't be guilty. It's not you, it's them.

I truly hope they figure it out. For the most part, I've heard good things about them.

It's funny, I didn't get any response at all. So, besides me, how many tire sales have they lost so far?
