For those that own this, do you like the way its appearance and the seating position it gives on the SM? Looking for something that allows a little lower seating position on the bike and more of a cruiser riding position. Is it comfortable on short trips? Thanks as usual in advance for your opinions!

Just yesterday, Skyler wrote,

My Speedy came with a Memphis Fats shield, 17" tall. I bought the bike from a Woman that bought the Shield at Sturgis. The removal took me 20 seconds, a snap. I'm not a shield guy at all, but will be riding the Texas Hill Country all weekend. I'm going to put it on this evening & see if it works for me (6'). I installed the low profile solo saddle from newspeedmaster.com last week. It really dropped me down, and pulled me back. Awesome seat.

Its a great seat. It certainly isn't something I'd spend alot of time on, but for short trips or weekend rides it's great. It does drop you down quite a bit and is very comfortable.

Mine just arrived yesterday but I didn't have time to put it on yet. I have a slipstreamer screen (17" i believe), did you find that you had to get a smaller screen.

I'm looking to get a Windvest, so this might be a good excuse to get one.

Yes, I am loving this saddle. I wanted the Corbin until I read that it moves you even closer than stock. I was too close at stock. This saddle really gives me the ultimate riding position. It is quite harder than stock, but that's OK by me. The fit & finish is excellent as well. I bought the Saddle, Union Jack chrome cable retainer, both chrome seat bolts, Hammerhead choke knob, and the chrome fender rack from Brent last week. It's nice having such an awesome company in town! BIG PROPS! I'll have to take some pics.

Yes, do take some pics. Would like to see were brilliant ideas are thought up!

PS: Careful, you might get one Yota excited when talking about big props.

Its the best looking seat for our bikes, bar none. It really suits and changes the lines of our bikes especially if the rear is lowered. It seats you a lot lower and further back than the stock seat but it is a lot harder and the first couple of hundred miles will have you wondering how youre going to put up with it. Thank Goodness it softens up after a while and makes for a more comfortable ride. I have had my Low Profile seat on for 16000ks (10000mls) and have no trouble doing`a 300k (180ml) ride. Any longer can become a worry but for riding daily to work or whatever, its the Best Seat there is.
