Triumph! Absolutely! I like Never Surrender, Lay it on the line and many more ........ played LOUD of course.
Me I like anything from Elton John to Rob Zombie, depends what mood I am in. Seems like most guys won't admit they like Elton John but he definitely has many hits. My favorite is Your Song.
Anyone ever hear of a group called White Witch? Got turned on to them by an older "Hippy" many years ago. They weren't famous or anything but I especially remember one song they sang. That was in my, lets say, wilder days.

Yup, love the subdudes. I had the good fortune of meeting Tommy Malone a couple times, who is also the brother of the Radiators front man Dave Malone. Met him in New Orleans last year while walking around the Jazzfest....and here in Orlando I was able to buy drinks for the whole band after they ended their set. Not many people showed up for the show, but we had so much fun. Very nice, personable guys.
One major reason why I was unable to make the gathering up in Georgia was that I was in New Orleans for Jazzfest that weekend...always the last weekend of April, and first weekend of May. I go every year, and wouldn't miss it.....

Recently: Anthrax - Alive 2 Dream Theater - Train of thought Stevie Ray Vaughan - The Essential SRV System of a Down - Mezmerize Mars Volta - Frances the Mute - just been lent this album funnily enough, not sure what to make of it yet, will have to listen to it a few more times before I draw my conclusions... at the moment it sounds like music for the insane...

I used to be a huge Dream Theater fan. Even seen them 3 or 4 times live. Now, I'm pretty much as far as you can go from them...I'm into folk, bluegrass, & other americana genres.

Was introduced to Dream Theater about four year ago, have since heard most their albums and seen them Manchester on their Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence Tour. Think all the musicians are amazing, virtuosos... all superb, in fact think John Petrucci can’t be human! IMHO the only member who has let them down a bit in the past is James Labrie, although think his vocals have improved somewhat in the last three albums, a touch less glass shattering! Now if Labrie’s name was Hetfield that would be something...
Like you I suppose I have many musical tastes and influences, always looking for new tunes. This a good thread, been lots of bands listed here I’ve not heard of, must try and listen to them sometime...

Yeah...never liked Labrie either. I always liked Liquid Tension Experiment for that reason. Petrucci, Rudess, Portnoy & Tony Levins. I always thought they should just bring Myung in on bass and make it an instrumental DT. Rudess was the best addition they ever made in my opinion.

+ Drive By Truckers - Blessing and a Curse + Joe Bonamassa - Blues Deluxe/So it's Like That ** If you have not heard him and like guitar you'd better check him out - Last year saw Vai, KWS & Joe B live and IMO Bonamassa blew 'em both out of the water! + Living Things - Black Skies in Broad Daylight + The Mooney Suzuki - Alive & Amplified + Ethiopiques Vol 4: Ethio Jazz & Musique Instumentale 1969-1974 ** Very cool Ethiopian jazz - discovered when saw movie "Broken Flowers" w/ Bill Murray

Saw Bonamassa with BB, and KWS last summer, awesome show!! I had seen BB a few times, but went to see KWS and figured anything else would be a bonus, and it was!! He borrowed Kenny's organ player for the set, that guy can wail.

I saw KWS a handful of times...but I gotta say, I dig Jonny Lang a lot more. KWS is great, but he pretty much plays SRV's bag, where Jonny Lang, like SRV, pulls straight out of Freddie King's bag.

The Mars Volta disc is alot to digest. Never fall asleep listening to the iPod on 'shuffle' for the mere fact that Volta may come on, and you'll wet yourself.

I'm grooving big time on dTb (derek trucks band) seen them live. love the mix of blues, jazz, world. His singer has a seriously sexy voice(Mike Mattison)and Derek's guitar just works for me. Their album SONGLINES is still in heavy rotation.
Mark, did you ever hear Johnny A.? Now that man can play. Sonny Landreth too.

well, if we do nh after NH there are plenty of places to eat, a place to crash a garage to squeeze the bikes in. With good planning we can probably get at least 4 in there.

Hey even you older guys must remember what it's like to be in the late 20's. All your friends getting married, having kids, then the family, then your grandfather, within 20 minutes of meeting your girlfriend, tells her he doesn't have any great grand kids yet... That kinda stuff. It's weird! That's all.

We play some of that stuff, but not their covers ours, we funk em up a little, groove em around, really just a bunch of forty sumthins havin a good time, playin out once in a while. We have 2 new female singers, one that's 27 and our sax player now is a 17 year old kid. He's gonna be leaving us in a couple of months to go to college. That's where the need for a new player may come in.

Dude someone did it. They mounted a guitar case to an EZ bracket. Your bags make a pretty nice flat surface... I bet you could lay an axe across them. I strapped my Alto to the bike once
