Benny, So we are set for Sunday the 25th I will plan on being at the ferry by 9:00 and will follow your directions to the parking lot in your e-mail. Thanks everyone for the directions looks like a piece of cake finding the ferry. Lived in CT. for 20 years and never been there. Bought a used 25' boat about 18 years ago and almost drown my brothers family and my own on our way back from PJ she was taken on more water than we could bail then we lost the electrical and the engine s*it the bed. My brother hot wired the batteries directly to the coils and we got it started, when we got back to Milford Harbour we found a 2' foot hole in the hull where the patch job failed. Ever since then I never have or will buy anything that is used that your life depends upon. Oh ya I got my bike in and back in one day the service manager at Libbys (Joe) will spend all day with you, but it cost me $206.00 not $125.00. The $125.00 they quoted for for labor only plus parts. See you Sunday.

lucky me...i get to work another all night/over night shift. probably in norwalk or new rochelle.
if i don't feel too *(^$&*_up in the morning i'll still float over for a while, though I will have to work tomorrow night as well; and sleep is definitely an issue for me.
Matt, I'll call you in the morning to let you know whether to look for me or not.

Hey listen, if it looks like a total wash out, and you guys still want to come hang out, that's still fine with me. Heck, I'll pick up some foot passengers in the car from the ferry if you want, and Mark can just drive out. We can install my tach! Reave was considering riding down, altho its REAL crappy today so I don't know if he'll come. Hopefully he'll e-mail me!

Sounds good. Like I said guys, you're all welcome to come and just hang, learn a thing or two about the bike, etc. I'll have the tank and seat off, so it's a good time to check it out and we can still grill. Happy to pick up foot passengers at the ferry too! Only a 20 min ride from my place.

Sorry I've been outta touch...Broke up with the girlfriend and my laptop is still at her apt, and have been working on my "top secret" plans out in NJ all night. If anyone's game, I'm still into driving out and grilling/drinking/wrenching on Benny's bike. I'm going to bed, Benny, I'll call you in the AM.

Benny,
Woke up at 6:00 and it was raining 7:30 still raining. I would love to come down as I have a million questions and would like to help you install that tach.
Are there any plans to move the ride up to next weekend or the following.
Hate to say this, but I have learned after 23 years of marriage when to pick my battles.
So I'm going to spend the day with my boy's at the movies. Mission Impossible 3.

No worries. I'm free next sunday. Actually I am going to a BBQ Sat in Norwalk CT, and a wedding monday the 3rd down here, so sunday if anyone wants to ride, let me know.
John, I'm happy to take the tank off anytime or whatever if you have questions. Or help you do something next time. Doesn't have to be MY bike up on the lift!

I haven't planned that far ahead yet. We'll see. I may actually be in CT that weekend (8th?) at my buddies in New London. Kim will be in FL, so my schedule is fairly open, but he needs some help on his house, and I need some help prepping for my uncle's wedding. I could in theory ride up to you guys for a saturday ride and then catch his gig sat night, etc. We'll figure it out! No worries. With all this weather, may just have to play each weekend by ear.

So get this it didn't rain ALL afternoon here!! Random. Threatened. Sprinkled maybe a little, but nothing big. Plenty of huge puddles around tho, and muggy like you read about! Hopefully we'll get some riding weather later this week.

Benny,
I'm in Corp. Sales for Yellow Freight and I go through this s**t all the time trying to schedule golf outings and entainments with customers, its like herding cats.
I have got to go to KC tomorrow and will not be back until Sunday afternoon. I have told everyone "ok" but next weekend I'm going to Long Island period so if your available next Sat. or Sunday come hell or high water I will be there.
First of one zillion questions:
Everything I have read so far all starts with getting more air into the engine AI removal, freak kits and modifing the air cleaners. So there must be something to it.
I printed off a copy of the AI removal on the home page and I will order the removal kit, the only thing that scares me is removing the carbs to get at the screws. Seeing how the bike is brand new can I screw anyting up doing this ?
I have a few bucks stashed away and thought while I'm doing this why don't I install the freak kit at the same time. Is it a good idea to do both at the same time ?
If I do this will it automatically throw the balance out on the carbs ?
If you would change the primary gear on the BA 06 would you go with 18 or 19 teeth comes with a (17)?

So by next weekend do you mean 7/8? I thought you had a family trip?
Well so far I'm free to ride...
As for the mods, we can do the AI removal in an hour in my garage no problem. The freak takes some more time... No need to remove the carbs for the AI removal. I'm super happy with my 18T sprocket! But I would consider doing the freak/jetting first. THAT requires/prefers carb removal. I'd call it major surgery. But we could easily do AI/sprocket in no time. And I have a carb balancer.

Well with the impending operators unions stikes (Locals 14 & 15), looks like I might be reporting to work at our DC job for the next week or 2. The chance of strike as of right now is about 90%-95%. So I may not be able to ride this weekend. I'll keep you posted Benny.

Benny,
I'm free next weekend both Sat. and Sun. I lost the link to the AI removal kit do you have it. I want to order one and replace the primary sprocket.
If everyone would perfer to ride next weekend I can always wait.
One nice thing about KC it has not rained here in months.

OK I think I was thinking of someone else who is going away... So many of you CT folks now! Hard to keep em straight. The weekend of the 8th I have open so far. In my ideal world, I would come to CT and stay at my friend's house. I could do a ride either day, and hang with him the other of the two. Maybe depending on weather. We'll play it by ear, and I'll start a new thread. As for the AI instructions, I can find em. I can also just do it
