Yep I just removed the plate, then removed the nut on the backside of the foot peg. The bracket that holds the foot peg is threaded exactly the same as the two bolts that held on the hanger.

I put one of the bolts back in the empty hole just incase I ever need it for some reason and it looks a little better

Mine fit perfectly.
