Meta thread or not this one does meander a bit....but no matter.
Gina, I was referring ..when I said as Bedouin intimated that most of the political/religious threads of import or not depending upon ones outlook are largely about pure American issues and see little participation by our international element. Bedouin chimes in occasionally but that is what was meant by a micro-cosm of America. (largely an American involvement) thereby showing a reasonable diversity of opinion that mirrors society at large.
As I have uttered before. If for any resaon the admins of this site should ever determine to simply disallow any intriguing topics that would be fine with me. I will not sit in my chair and cry about it nor I suppose will anyone else.
I do note that these threads seem to draw an audience despite a minimal verbal cry for banning of these types of threads.
If you go back thru the months of history in the "lounge" and see the post counts vs reads it seems clear that somebody other than those who posted and read also found them worthy of a read. Fascination perhaps?
Either that or its like a good fist fight after school. They draw a crowd to see the bloodletting?
