his name is tom robinson

I used to buy my minibike parts off him when he had his place in Bullshead. I did stop out at his place after the fire to look for some parts for my '69. Looking at his barn (or what was left of it)broke my heart. I saw him last year at a 4th of July party and he rode a flat tracker that he built. Nice bike, chrome frame (or maybe it was polished) You're right though he used to be the man to go to for Triumph parts or info.

Ed stopped by the other day with the bike and wanted my opinion on how she was running. I ran it around a bit and was really surprised at how stable the front was. In fact, it feels a lot better than mine, even with the progressive front springs installed. It tracks perfectly and is way smoother over the bumps in the roadways. Probably due to the dual cool spring setup. I cound not tell it was raked at all and was truly amazed at the feel of the ride.
Also, those Mikuni carbs are friggin amazing too. The thing pulls really, I mean REALLY hard in all gears at all speeds and throttle positions. The main reason to ride it was to see how the carbs were dialed in. Well, let me say they are pretty good from the butt dyno report I got. definetly going to have to build some more and make these things available.

Yeah man. Get a package together!! I'll make my own bracket, just need carbs and cables

Oh wait I have no money... OK maybe in a few months. Do you think that setup would work with a big bore down the road?

That is an exceptional machine Biker! Mad props go out to you on a job well done with the girder, and to both you and Dinqua on the carb set up. Everytime I look at that, it just blows me away!

Well Ed take a look at my gallery. My mirrors are definitely lower profile, but I have a great view. They are JC Whitney with the LONG stem. The reason I can see well is the long stem makes them go out to the side more, and the shape helps. You can see for yourself when I get there. Hell we can even swap one onto your bike so you can get a good idea.

I like the color! Always been a huge fan of blue anyway. How did you get the tank like that? Did you cut off the tabs and fill it? Or totally re-work the tank?
