Just got off the phone with the groom. He got back from the brunch around 1 to find 3 inches of water in the basement. It's a good thing he spent all last week sealing cracks, etc, or else it would have been worse WITH some damage!! He also said it was good all the fathers and such were there to help! Turns out the main problem was the storm drain in the street getting overloaded and one of his sump pumps failing. So they cut a small trench in the yard so the ROAD could drain into the woods thru the yard, and then his sump had somewhere to pump the water. Looks like this summer we're renting a jack hammer and diggin up the driveway to install some drainage!!
Good thing this rain didn't start on tuesday when they are leaving for two weeks!!!
