You gotta ride it like you stole it!!!! I always run my bike and vehicles hard but take care of them by changing oil regularly and with quality oil and filters. I perform all of my maintenance myself and when I do change out parts always put quality parts back on my vehicles as well. I think that is why I normally have excellant luck with all of my vehicles and rarely have ever let me down or stranded. I personally don't think there is any problem with running the R's up in whatever gear you are in. As someone on this sight has said before the bottom ends of these bikes are pretty stout and well made. Just my opinion but I ride it like I stole it probably 75% of the time and I don't think I am hurting her, When I left the dealership with her I only took it easy about the first 50-60 miles then I started running her harder and harder, sometimes reaching speeds of 85-90 mph. I have yet to have any problems at all, Knock on wood. Any other thoughts or comments out there???
