2005 is when the forum software was upgraded to the current version.
I joined in late 2003 or early 2004 on the old software version.

I would add that the site certainly impacted lives in many ways.
We ran a BA rally for almost 15 (until Covid) where a significant
number of members from all over Europe would trek to a different country
to meet every year.
We even had Dwight and Fasteddy (on 2 occasions) from the US join us.
