My hot weather gear consists of mesh Joe Rocket jacket & mesh overpants. The jacket & overpants zip together at the back. Both have either OEM &/or supplemental armor. Heat gear shirt under the jacket, & shorts under the pants.
Boots are Sidi leather ventilated with side zip & velcro close. Normally accompanied by UnderArmor low cut socks.
I have a few different pairs of ventilated gloves to choose from, with varying amounts of leather &/or hard protection, depending...
Usual helmet is full face modular, HJC RPHA90.
My take is, at this stage of my life, it's just not worth the risk, w/o the gear. YMMV...
