I used an online wind chill calculator to determine that the "feels like" temperature of riding 100 mph at 0 degrees F is -38F. I probably won't be doing that again.

Coldest day here I came home and the heat in my house had stopped working. Reset and it fired right back up and has been OK. Don't know why it quit, fuel is treated but maybe it gelled up any way. My rollback hasn't run in days, it starts and runs a few seconds and stalls. Fuel has been treated, I put enough treatment in for 100 gallons in a 30 gallon tank and we tried 911 then too and it is still not running. One other rollback was hit by a drunk driver and ripped the rear out of it and broke the leaf springs among other damage, I have that almost finished now and we have a new rollback but it isn't registered yet so we are down to one rollback so I am running my ass off trying to keep up with the police calls and still get regular towing done. So the cold has really thrown a wrench in the works.

Dang it man... Cold here too but at least I'm not out trying to make a living in it anymore. Sucks when your heat source quits. Glad you got it going again.

Since them my furnace shut off a couple more times, took it apart and cleaned it and it ran a few minutes then quit again. Lucky I planned for this and I have been running off my outside tanks. When I still had an issue with it staying lit I switched to a full inside tank where it's warm and haven't had an issue since. It was, of course, at night in the bitter cold. Does this sort of thing happen any other time?! LOL

We had subzero temps, ice and 10" of snow for 10 days. It warmed enough yesterday to melt. Today we're supposed to have a high of 66 degrees. And a ton of rain. Freaking nutty..

Can you calculate that for 30 mph which is approximately the speed I was downhill skiing at on the hill at Sunday River Maine (Bethel) on that day?

30 mph @ 0 degrees feels like -25.9F. Pretty damn cold.
