I have 138,000 miles on my 2006 America, Still have a lot of time to ride this summer and fall. Usually I can ride into November if the weather cooperates. Maybe I can get 140,000 by the end of this riding year. Over the 17 years I have averaged a little over 8,000 miles a year. I did much more riding for average mileage in the early years of riding. I have ridden from Litchfield county to Montreal, Canada twice, a little over 350 miles one way, stayed the night and returned home. Many rides to my brothers home in Northwood NH. 190 miles one way but I would stay a few days or a week, many rides through the White mountains that is a great ride. From Northwood north to North Conway NH to entrance 17 in VT on I-91 then home.

I am in north east PA and I have ridden straight through to Orlando Fl many times also straight through to Cody Wyoming and made that trip in about 36hrs on a hardtail chopper with a springer front end. Sturgis straight through, Johnstown PA straight through, 100 miles past Knoxville straight through, changed head gaskets in a small block Chevy then home straight through with no sleep. Niagra Falls straight through, the list is endless. I think I could still do most of them, not sure I could do Cody straight through anymore that was rough on me even back then. Couple of those I tried doing with other riders and had to stop for sleep for them. I feel I can sleep when I get there.

138,000 - Impressive mileage!
I put a lot of miles and some pretty long road trips on my speedmaster in the first 5 years. After the T-birds came out that became my road trip bike and the speedmaster the short trip/commuter bike.
There is something to be said for modern EFI bikes and not having to make carburetor adjustments to get over the mountains.
05 speedmaster - 1100cc, 11:1 racing pistons, Carillo rods, thunderbike cams, ported and polished head, 2mm over intake and exhaust valves, Barnett kevlar clutch, scepter pipes, oversize manifolds, 45mm HSR's, TTP stage 4 firestarter
