Blackwind, the 5W40 is almost definitely too light for Houston, and also, I believe I checked the Rotella-T synthetic, and didn't see that it meets the API SH or JASO MA requirements. Better to stick with the Mobil MX4T 10W40 for winter and 20W50 for summer if you are going that route.
