I have a 2003 America and I replaced my passenger seat and sissy bar with a rear fender luggage rack. Any suggestions on luggage that would fit on this rack would be great. Thinking about hard case but not sure if that would be too large. What are others using?

If you mean the small wire rack that is not quite as wide as the fender then probably a duffle bag and bungies. Would help to see what rack you mean. I have leather bags on E-Z Brackets that are not on my most of the time. They are nice on trips too because you

Yes I am talking about the small wire rack. I was hoping there was something out there that people were using that stored more. Thanks for the reply.

Wow, I must have been doing something else when I replied. I have missing words and 1/2 a sentence!

Think of the solo seat fender rack as more of a "parcel shelf", that can hold a duffel or tail bag; I also have that rack, however my bile also has Tsukayu hardbags, so...

Can you tell me the exact bags you have and where you bought them from. I had saddle bags on my bike but took them off cause with the fender rack I wasn't sure how they would be held down. Plus they wouldn't look right with that rack but I am considering hard bags. Do you have the easy brackets with it too. Any info would be great.

I used one of those 'bikers friend' bags on that fender luggage rack. Its a hard tube with a fake leather covering. It held a lot of stuff and doubled as a back rest.

Just checked out the Bikers Friend bags. Great idea thank you! What size did you get? Did you mount it end to end on the rack or horizontally so the ends stick out, perpendicular.

I mounted it cross ways on the bike. Strapped to the luggage rack front and back. I got the size bigger one.
I no longer have that luggage rack (and only half the rear fender).
If you are interested, I would be willing sell my bag for really cheap as it does not fit any bikes that I have now.
I can PM you a picture if needed.

I used an Oxford bag that gave me a little more room for trips. It had a bottom strap that went under the rack and then a used 2 bungee cords over the bag. It still had a tendency to lean one way or the other in an all-day run. This was exacerbated by me using it as a backrest. The rack improves the look of the bike with a solo seat and seat rail. It is also useful to bungee cord small 6 pack size parcels to the bike so you do not wear a backpack like a kid going to school.
