I have 2008 America. It has a Triumph tach mounted in the console. It stopped working. I got an a/m replacement from Fast Eddie. It's a Drag Specialties tach. It's the same size to fit in the console. Problem: I want to clip the connector off the non-functional original tach and splice it to the replacement unit. I just don't know which wires get spliced to each other. Has anyone done this and if so can you help me out? TIA <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
I've had two of the OEM tachs from Triumph and really wasn't too happy with them, the needle would stick when I turn the bike off or they just quit working. I'm looking at getting the Drag Specialties tach from Fast Eddie. It's the DS mini 8000 which is what I think you have. I did keep the connector of off the last one so that I could wire it in like you want to do. Did you get it installed and if so how do you like it?
