I have a free Flickr account since Photobucket went that way. Flickr is always asking me to upgrade to pro however have resisted even though I get it, someone has to pay for the site and the benefit of it and some day I suspect they will say Pay to Play. I have three travel collections and anyone can look at them any time with the link however you cant rip me off for the photo and that is part of the benefit, which I am not paying for as I did not pay for on Photobucket. I have used Flickr a couple of times to upload photos to the old format of this web site.
My digital photos are on my hard drive backed up by another and only collections go into the Cloud. There is a bookshelf of photo albums from the days of film down in the basement which will probably get burnt post mortum, Will my children and their children pass around the photo albums as I and my cousins do with our parents and grandparents albums, Hmmmm doubt it. However, post Covid-19 perhaps ours and our friends grown children will chose to get together go camping like we all used to and share the collection at least once before the big torch.
