Well last weekend I finally got to test ride the Sprint, the Tiger and as a bonus got meet Cat.

The Sprint is an incredible bike very smooth, powerful and fun to ride. The ride provided by
Breeze Cycle of Omaha was about 20mins looping through the neighborhood hills and a short stint on the freeway.

The one I rode had the optional exhaust and a Corbin. The sound...oh the sound.
The triple's exhaust note is every bit as distinctive as my TBA, a harley or
even a Duc's. It was great. The engine is absolutely perfect. Plenty of torque
and power. It wasn't rev happy like a UJM, it just worked. I found you could
be two gears down or two gears up from where you "should be" and it
handled it with ease. It was well planted in what few corners I was able to
take. I give it two thumbs up.

But nothing is perfect. If you are of the long legged variety like me, 6'2" and
a 36" inseam, the cockpit is a little cramped but better than I thought it would
be. The Corbin on the bike was about a half inch lower than the stock seat but
it could have been 2" tall and I think it would have been perfect. The reach to
the bars is more sportbike that touring bike. Risers would be a must for long
distances. And the last thing, this bike was not fitted with the factory "heat
kit". The heat off of the engine was noticable and at a stop sign in the 100
deg heat of July hear in Wichita would be very uncomfortable.

That said I still liked the bike.

The Tiger:
Now this is a Scrambler on steroids! Beautiful triple under the gas tank and
an up right riding position. The bike handles more like the Sprint than you
might imagine. It is composed and comfortable in tight turns even though
you are up in the air a bit. The wind protection for me was great on both the
sprint and the tiger. No need for the larger screens here.

But again its not perfect or may be its me.
Even on the highest seat setting the cockpit was a little cramped. Does any
one make peg extenders for these bikes. Sorry already asked and no answer.

All in all two bike very worthy of anyones consideration.

It was a great weekend. Thanks to Cat for the conversation and I may just try
that beeded seat cover for a long rid.

good to finally meet you, Johnny. How was the ride back? I took the wife out for a ride on the Voyager Sunday up to the Pisgah, Iowa, to eat lunch at the Old Home Fill 'er Up and Keep On Truckin' Cafe and I think I scared her away from riding along in the future-- windy as a hurricane. there's not a lot to stop the wind here on the plains.

I rode the T100 and thought it was pretty quick, seemingly quicker than my speedy in the lower gears. but then i recalled i put the 18 toother on my speedy.

i also got a chance to hear the epcos finally on Johnny's (JAMinDODA's) bike. they sound pretty good.

and boy, that blue piping on the Corbin looks nice.

we'll have to try to meet up at the Baxter Cycle Daze in August...
any time you're up this way give me an email/call if you want to ride.

Cat, the ride back was just fine, the rain held off just long enough.

I will be in Omaha for the CWS, been going since '88, might meet up then.

BTW: the folks at Breeze, I have to commend them, they run the shop like a mom and pop operation. They seem real close to there customers. I really liked that.

Ride Safe.
