The OEM cables didn't used to cost a lot of money. I would buy another one. My 05 had this stupid rubber thing that held the cable aligned with the bracket at the front wheel. it broke I didn't notice and then my bracket failed. I replaced the little rubber deal with a cable clamp that was metal, never had another problem with the bracket itself.
Anyhow, I suggest just getting another OEM one.
