OK, I will ask again. Maybe if it is not in the subject line it is not noticed.
Can the time to edit a post after submitting be lengthened?
30 minutes is rather short. Seems it was a much bigger time window to edit your post in the past. How about at least an hour if not a full day?

The default edit window seems to be more like 30 seconds...

I see no answer will be given. Was hoping for a simple Yes, No or We will look into it. Will have to live with the very short time to correct my spelling or add the sentence I thought but did not write.

Just came back to verify it was still 30 minutes and it is. Glad I didn't say something really hurtful or regretful and wanted to delete it after thinking about it for 30 minutes. And, by spelling mentioned above. I am thankful for "spell check" but. I have misspelled the word I meant to use but still spelled a valid word so "spell check" did not show me my error. Only noticed when coming back to see if anyone responded.

"I see no answer will be given. Was hoping for a simple Yes, No or We will look into it." No reason to be a d8ck about it.. we are still trying to figure all the ins and outs of how the new set up works. Meanwhile we have jobs and a life so some things take some time. I have gone through all the settings we can control and have yet to find a way to change the time limit to edit. Seems to me that using the Preview reply button should give you ample time to edit, second guess or reword your reply or post before posting it.

Good morning Chy, Sorry if I came off that way to you. And thank you for providing a response to the question that I asked back on 4/19/2020. I am aware the upgrade was not a simple keystroke. I was one of the members that could not view the forums when logged in immediately after the upgrade. An email corrected that (and thanks again for that prompt response). Then when I had no way to start a thread, a few posts and interactions corrected that set up issue after a few days. I had raised the question of the edit window in a second post in my “New†thread but thought I should start one and actually ask the question here in the “Help†forum. Got no response to it. I did (OK, it was a bit dickish) note in another thread or two that I could not edit or add a thought/word to clarify a statement after reading it later like I could in the past. Like many others, I was home most of April and spent a lot of time in front of the screen and had some frustrations that went out into the world. As for the edit window concern, I have “let it go†like the song said. Hope you have a nice day.

I appreciate the pleasant reply, I'm not exactly a tech guy so it takes me awhile to figure some things out and really don't feel I should reply till I have a valid response. We appreciate your patience though as we all try to stumble our way into the cyber world.

Thank you very much. It is not a big thing but is frustrating after remembering one last thing I should have included in a response and could not complete the thought due to that very short edit window.

I just did an edit on one of my posts and noticed a misspelled word and when I tried to fix it it told me I could no longer edit it. That limit on how many posts you can do is a pain too. I find times where I post on one thread and then read another but can't post there because I had posted on the one I read first.
