As some of you well know, I was a commercial brewer and left that industry. I then took up homebrewing as a hobby and have about 35 years into that.
One of our (wife and I) favorite passtimes (weather permitting) is to ride to different brewpubs, have lunch, try the beer sampler (and some waters). Get a growler filled and ride home. I do not have a particular mileage range limit for doing this but so far 5 hours ride each way has been the max for a lunch trip. So many interesting beers out there. And the last few years, more meads and ciders coming on, some very good.
