Southwest PA has become a hotbed of flourishing craft brewers. I prefer to patronize them rather than the typical bars for the most part. I enjoy experiencing what other consider 'good' beer, however, the addition of flavor enhancing ingredients and what I consider 'over-hopping' are not my cup of tea (or mug of beer). My preference in regard to beer clean, clear, and crisp - somewhat in the German style of beer, There are a few crafters in the area that produce this sort of product and I routinely seek them out. Conversely, I do enjoy flavored porters and stouts - particularly vanillas and coffees.
