Just got an ad in the mail for AAA auto coverage. One question though about how it works; Does the tow truck driver or service station do the work and you pay him on the spot, with the money returned to you by AAA later, OR; does the tow truck driver simply take your card and provide services and HE then bills AAA? And Motorcycle coverage is not provided but is a separate kind of policy?

If you have AAA basic you're covered for a tow for your car with nothing paid out of pocket - but only for 3 or 5 miles (I forget). Anything beyond that is on you.

We have AAA Premier RV which covers the cars and motorcycles up to 200 miles. It ain't cheap, but if you do big road trips on the bike this could easily pay for itself if you find yourself stuck 150 miles from a Triumph dealer - or any kind of dealer.

We have had very good luck and service with AAA and if you have multiple vehicles and do big road trips by car or bike it's a must.
