I have 2008 America. It has a Triumph tach mounted in the console. It stopped working. I got an a/m replacement from Fast Eddie. It's a Drag Specialties tach. It's the same size to fit in the console. Problem: I want to clip the connector off the non-functional original tach and splice it to the replacement unit. I just don't know which wires get spliced to each other. Has anyone done this and if so can you help me out? TIA

Easy enough to look at the wiring diagram for the stock tach, the Drag Specialties tach should have instructions telling you what wire is what.

I have a different tach problem...my needle popped off. Can you tell me which tach from Drag Specialties fits in the center console?

Get in touch with Eddie at Fast Eddie Sports. He can let you know.

TIA <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> I've had two of the OEM tachs from Triumph and really wasn't too happy with them, the needle would stick when I turn the bike off or they just quit working. I'm looking at getting the Drag Specialties tach from Fast Eddie. It's the DS mini 8000 which is what I think you have. I did keep the connector of off the last one so that I could wire it in like you want to do. Did you get it installed and if so how do you like it?
'06 America, Raask foot controls, the bike use to be Graphite and Silver, now its Red and Black.
