Of all the things that drove me (and a lot of us evidently) crazy back when this bike came out was the cheap plastic tank console and the plastic front fender. According to Brent...good luck getting that console in billet for under a grand...like he says, we're stuck with it. So...anyone know anyone who's fabricated a front fender out of metal for aftermarket sale? Or alternatively...any other bike that would be a straight swap? Mine's split at the nose and I'm holding it together with quarter inch decorative chrome door edging. Love to kiss it goodbye. If I'm gonna pay 300.00 for a new plastic one anyway and it's within reason, I'd drop the extra loot for a metal one...thanks all.

Look on Ebay if you end up going plastic, the original can be had for peanuts. I think I have a Speedmaster one floating around if I didn't sell it already. Black was in perfect shape but it will have the holes for the brake line cross over and is a shorter fender than the America. I think I also have an America fender I drilled for that line that needs to be painted.

Thanks mate. I'm gonna hold out for now I think. I just dropped like 500.00 on stuff and I gotta slow down...Brent at Newbonneville is looking for me as well. If I have to go for plastic, plastic it is...but likely next year.
