I am trying to keep the bike as retro as possible and I really don't like LED lights. I'm wondering what some of you guys might have replaced it with that gives a brighter presence at a stop light and in the dark that doesn't have that Starwars feel to it.

I replaced mine with a big Neon sign that says Stop!!

Ok I use an LED light in behind the normal red lens. It flashes repeatedly, hopefully no one with epilepsy pull up behind me.

I left the run + brake light assembly in place and changed the rear turn signals to multi function run, turn and brake units(yes, LED). Not tiny or spaceship looking (Rizoma Iride) but noticeably bright. And being LED they can piggyback on the run and brake light circuits with little increased current draw. I do believe having them function as run, turn and brake lights helps me be seen by those behind me.

I had used a (again LED) lighted tag plate surround on my previous Bonneville. Think it was dual function, run & brake light that blended in almost unnoticed if not on.

I went further retro with a Lucas style oval tail light. LED but pretty sweet looking and way brighter. Looks old until the light comes on.
