You know what... I think I've tried Howard Leight plugs before. I believe a friend of mine gave me a pair of the corded ones about a month ago.
Sadly, those didn't fit that well in my ears too because of my narrow and weird angled ear canals.
What can you guys say about custom earplugs like this
