Could be worse. A coworker of mine had a buzzard fly through the windshield of his truck when I worked at FedEx. Back in 1977 a turkey buzzard went through the windscreen of a Navy T-2 Buckeye flying at 300 knots and 500 feet temporarily blinding the pilot in the front seat. We all checked out the plane in the hanger, the stink was amazing. At least he didn't have to land it in the Hudson river.
I've had a few red winged blackbirds come close this year, I think they are trying to protect their nests.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
