Sad and hard to believe. Todays generation, I'm sorry to say. Very little sentimentality or respect for the past. In a similar vein, I have my clothes in a walnut wooden dresser that was hand made by my carpenter great, great grandfather for his daughter's wedding gift in 1878. When I try and explain why this piece of furniture means a lot, my kids shake their heads and don't get it. I suppose when I pass it will go to the dump.

How many fields are full of 18 year olds? These boys, er MEN where members of the ‘us or we’ generation. When family ties god and patriotism was a tenant in day to day life. True heros these men where and always will be regardless of how this ‘throw away’ generation discounts them. But by their honor do we walk free today. Hats off to all informed service members both Leo’s and all military.

Let’s get this through our thick skulls, when we die all our ‘stuff’ will be trashed. Rare are the times when ones paramount life treasures are treated as keepsakes. Thanks Mike, for being a rare example!
