Nice machines, funny thing when I was a boy a "dirt" bike was a 250-350cc.
Then again a large road bike was a 750cc.
Good lord when Honda introduced the 1000cc GoldWing that thing was a monstrosity.

Not really, both Norton and Triumph had 650cc and 750cc dirt bikes in the mid 60s. I do use the dirt bike term loosely. Norton had the P11 (750cc) and Triumph had the T100 (500cc) and TR6 (650cc)

Yep,650 was the "average" then the 750 s came.900 Kawasaki ! WOW.Harleys were 1200cc but very few here had the dough to buy one

I remember when I was told about the first 1200cc bike, I was literally is disbelief. I didn't believe my friend until we went and saw it. I couldn't wrap my head around such a big engine in a motorcycle! Now it isn't even a big bike.
