Yep, that was more symmetrical in design alright Ian, and as you know so were the stock exhaust layouts on all the BSA and Triumph triples back in the day what with their headers being split up front and then extending back to a symmetrical looking one muffler on each side arrangement.

But still, I really think the boys in Hinckley missed the mark a bit with this new bike by not going with a 3-into-3 and all on the right side arrangement.

(...I suppose this thing of mine probably all stems from the time when I as a 19 year old 1971 BSA Rocket-3 owner walked past a news stand to see Craig Vetter's restyled version of my bike on the cover of Cycle Magazine and fell instantly in love with his creation, and then wished my BSA triple looked like that)
