Sometimes 60 seems awfully slow, but then again.. I see deer routinely, it's the ones you don't see and suddenly there's one standing next to you that provide an adrenaline rush. Not good. Riding through deer country on a sunny day with deep shadows ALWAYS gets my radar up big time. Glad things worked out for you. That's not the norm, you had a passenger
