This morning I was riding to work on my old bike ( I ride it once or twice a week to keep it running ) Going about 60 mph and out of a ditch at full speed jumps a deer. I have been riding 30 years and never had this happen. She hit me right on the crash bars. The bike never even stumbled. Very minor damage was done to the bike. The deer didn't hold up as well (dead deer). Just a few more inches up and she would have taken the front tire out, a few inches back an she would have been in my lap. When you hit a deer at 60 mph you are expected to at the least go down. When I got to work I did two things right off. (1) check the bike for damage and (2) check my pants for damage. That being said, you can't tell me angels were not watching over me. RIDE SAFE AND GOD BLESS

Wow! That is incredible! Glad to hear that you weren't hurt...didn't even lay it down! Man, I have to agree that it wasn't just luck. What were you riding?

My old bike is a 1985 honda magna 700. good fun bike but kind of small sitting for a long legged man.

Sometimes 60 seems awfully slow, but then again.. I see deer routinely, it's the ones you don't see and suddenly there's one standing next to you that provide an adrenaline rush. Not good. Riding through deer country on a sunny day with deep shadows ALWAYS gets my radar up big time. Glad things worked out for you. That's not the norm, you had a passenger . I often let a car or truck run "interference" for me on some stretches.
