So as you may have seen Im selling my bike. Thing is Ive never sold a bike. My dealer wont take it as a trade due to ALL the modifications Ive made. So ... what are you thoughts on: 1) selling it as is and just waiting. I know its a horrible time of year to list a bike and closer to spring/summer is better 2) start reverting back to as close to OEM as I can. This means I start looking for OEM parts and selling off accessories 3) say screw it and part it out - not my ideal option as I dont have the space to keep a pile of parts for thee next year or five

So I sell (flip) bikes year round. Yes, right now is a slower time, but someone IS looking right now, you just need to find them. I have a '12 Bonneville, a '74 Honda CL360, and a '46 Harley EL for sale right now. I've sold bikes in January, I've sold bikes in July. There's no rhyme or reason to finding a buyer, just patience. Don't end up lowballing yourself just to get rid of it. You know what it's worth and what you want for it, stick to your price, but ask just a bit high for a little wiggle room. Every buyer wants to get a few hundred bucks off. Did you tell your dealer about the mods in the hopes they'd offer more as a trade? I don't even know why they'd care on a bike that age (sorry, but it's getting old) Do NOT part it out! That doesn't mean you can't sell the hard bags or easy bolt on parts, but it's a good running solid bike, don't turn it into a pile of bolts and tin

I agree with Dave. Don’t part it out. That’s a nice looking bike and some one will want it. I would just keep it on all the free web sites like Craigslist, E Bay and some of the other motorcycle sell sites. As you probably know, it’s all about the web now for selling cars and motorcycles.
Did I see you and your bike at the last SW rally at Dwight’s house in Prescott, Z?

Thanks for the input gents. I appreciate it.
I've already had a scammer hit me up. The whole "im deployed, ill take it as is, paypal and arrange for pick up" scam.

Yes that was the last one and the only one I went to also. I was on one of the two blue Thunderbirds that were there. I knew I recognized that bike from somewhere.

Had that happen a couple of years ago. The wife really wanted a three wheel cycle type thing and she found a really clean, low miles Can Am in Washington State. Texted back and forth for a while, the ole story about being stationed in the Military overseas and his wife was there in Wash. with the bike. Thought I was going to buy it until I told him I'd love to see it in person. I'd leave to get there in a couple of days and the wife could meet me there or with any companion she felt safe with. It instantly went dark. 9And I WOULD have ridden there in a heartbeat to buy it for her, even though by that time I didn't think it was a good idea. There ain't NOTHIN I wouldn't do for my woman!)

Detail the holy h-ll out of the bike.

Hey Z - What a great looking and equipped bike! I've bought and sold a few bikes on Craigslist. What worked best for me were good pics, a good description and a decent price.
Best wishes on your sale!
