How times change.
And here just a couple generations ago and when most of us here were still in short pants as they used to say, it was another Asian country that would be the butt of such jokes.
Or am I the only one around here who remembers comedian Allan Sherman's 1963 hit novelty recording set to the tune of
The Twelve Days of Christmas with the final line of each stanza being:
"And a Japanese transistor radio."
Surely all my fellow geezers here remember this, don't we?
