It is simpler.Count to ten and you've got it. 10 millimetres-1centimetre 10 centimetres-1 decimetre,10 decimetres-1 metre etc.
I grew up on Brit.Whitworth.Sae,etc. and feet and inches.I still know what 5 ft.7 ins looks like but 172 cm? I still put Ft.lbs pressure in my tires not whatever But even the kids today with the crap education system should be able to count to ten.Even in Kentucky,no matter what "Hickok 45" reckons
