It's really not that hard. Biggest thing is to unbolt the r/r from it's spot and let it dangle first. This allows you to pull up on the wiring (pulling the r/r up to towards frame/swing arm/mufflers) for slack to manipulate the plug connecting to the wiring loom connector. There is a stiff wire keeper (maybe for the wire to the starter motor) you need to displace. It is fastened right under the battery tray. It needs to be rotated out of the way to allow the plug end to pass.
