Hello everybody,

finally replacing my chain. I bought a DID 525 superstreet and it came with a link like this one
https://www.sportbiketrackgear.com/d-i-d...0hoCCEYQAvD_BwE

I cannot get it attached. Do I need a special tool, specific to DID to get it done? It isn't the clip type, which seems to be indicated for the 525. Does anyone have experience with these types of chains?

You will need a rivet break/press tool for that. Or get a link with the clip.

Eddy has a couple different tools and a clip style master link on his site.

If you have a buddy at a bike shop they might let yo barrow one, but good luck with that.

Also wondering what makes this chain an "x-ring". That's how it's labeled but it looks identical to OEM
