Today after 16 years with us and 15 rallies Mr Grrr has gone on to play with Bubba. Best pair of rally dogs ever... He has greeted many a rally goer and always ran to meet us when we rolled back in from a ride.

grrr. He was the icon for grrr'ing. Such a cool dog. So sad. So happy though to have known him, to have scratched him behind his ears several weeks ago. Man's bestest friend.

Grrr was one of my favorite Ba.com members. He was a great dog and always visited with everyone. Especially those who had some spare pizza.  I hope the grass is green and pizza is plentiful where you’re at. RIP little guy

Never met him but he sure sounds like he was a cool dog. (Gawd, I love dogs) RIP. I guess he'll be waiting for us with our dogs in heaven.

My condolences, all the regulars know how I feel dogs. I would say more but am very sick myself right now.
I learned all I need to know about life by killing smart people and eating their brains.

I notice he got right up front in the picture.  Good for him. How anyone can not love dogs is beyond my understanding. I've met a very few that unlovable but only a very few. Sounds like he was a great one. RIP little guy.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

My condolences as well here, Chy and Di.
Chy, you might remember the Southwest Triumph Fest's canine greeter/mascot equivalent to your Grrr there, named Moose.
Well, we had to put good ol' Moose down just a couple days before this past Christmas. Sure took a lot of the fun out of that holiday for Judie and I, alright.
Moose also made it to age 16. And so, I know how you two are feelin' right about now.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Agreed. I've lost a dozen or so beloved dogs in my almost 65 years. Each one left their own particular hole. But I always remember that there are others out there who, if I do nothing, will never know the life of a spoiled and much loved companion and friend. I give it a month or two and then return to the Animal Rescue League and save another one from living a very short and unhappy life. I can't save them all but I can save a few.

All of the above. They burrow into your heart before you know it and there's emptiness when they leave. The rescue shelter is a known cure after the proper amount of mourning and it’s been our source of comfort for the past three generations of canine companions.
