I found the Norman Hyde foot peg relocation kit for the America/Speedmaster, it moves the pegs back 4 inches roughly, anyone have these installed ? I thought it might make sense for city driving where you have to constantly put you feet down.

I installed a set on an '05 and I didn't like or I should say my left knee didn't like the angularity, so I went back to footboards. The install for the Hyde setbacks are easy and straight forward. I used boat trailer wheel bearing grease on the bushings as it's water resistant, if you're so inclined. But definitely use a smear of bearing grease in lieu of oil.

Thanks Ryk, I can get the kit for 125 bucks which is a good deal considering it retails for almost 500 bucks on line.Still on the fence, guess if I don't like it I can always resell.

I used a set of Raask foot controls on my 06 America. It moved them back about 6".
'06 America, Raask foot controls, the bike use to be Graphite and Silver, now its Red and Black.

I had them and they definitely let me corner lower and the gearshift knob was the most comfortable I've used but my set came with the Triumph "T" cut out of the bracket which allowed it to twist and stop the foot brake pedal returning fully.Anyway,I took them off and Hyde replaced the brackets [without the T at no cost]In the meantime I'd gone back to the OEM ones and have not got around to changing again. They definitely let my "boy racer" out but the only downside I found was locating the sidestand and backing the bike up the pegs would get in the way slightly.Just petty niggles but for what it's worth IMO the bike handled better.Again IMO they always do with mid-mount,or closer to mid-mount pegs.

There was also a bloke on the forum used to make parts for relocating the foot controls. MCFCUS I think was his handle

Paul is referring to the member here: "mcfcinusa". He fabricates a stiffer, more substantial set back mount than the Hyde, if he is still in the Biz. You use your original pegs, brake and shift levers, along with a shortened shift linkage rod (provided) and powder coated in Black. Under $200 and a great value, I put one of his setups on a bike I flipped to a short statured fella. He has been using it since the Spring of 2016 and as he is prone to whine about things, he hasn't said a bad word about the mount yet.

That's him,I think I would have gone that way in hindsight but I think the Hyde without the "T"cutouts in the brackets should be satisfactory too,if a bit more expensive.

MCFCINUSA here. just got back on the site and read the nice comments about the kits i make. Been absent for a while and still don't have my machines up and running. I've got a 20 ft trailer back in San Diego with parts of my lathe and mill on it. I'm hoping to get them out here in a couple of months. Sorry i don't have any kits left,(people kept buying them). I'll let everyone know when i get them back in stock. I suppose i could have outsourced them to be made in China but i want them to be MADE in USA. Des. AAMMP.
