Indian FTR 1200
Yep Kevin, there's quite a few discussions going on about this right now over at the Indian Motorcycle forum. I joined that forum too after purchasing my Springfield a few months ago.
The general consensus seems to be a big thumbs up from the so-called "tribe" over there about the FTR1200.
Seems Indian riders aren't quite of the same mindset that most Harley riders seem to be. You know, that whole "If it ain't a cruiser, then I'm not interested" sort'a thing, and so maybe this cool new machine will be more successful in the marketplace than Harley's XR1200 was.
(...guess we'll see, huh)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I test rode the Harley XR1200, did not care for the drivetrain or the styling. Looks to me that Indian may get it right. Hopefully Indian keeps the FTR 1200 close to the custom they used to gauge interest, instead of the watered down Harley effort.

Maybe this bike would have enticed Evel to switch. Maybe. But 120 hp is quite impressive. Are they are gonna maybe try to take off on what Buell started, or was that an altogether different animal?

Not sure what that means.
The FTR1200 is inspired by the Indian FTR750 flat track bike that won back-to-back championships in 2017 and 2018.
