Unreliability and poor dealer service?
Welcome back to the 1960's folks.
Seriously though I think Triumph have something of an identity problem.The people in the market for a cruiser style bike aren't usually interested in either sports or adventure style machines...it's a sort of lifestyle/ identity thing.
You'd have to be a total Triumph nut to honestly embrace every style of bike they offer.When I go to the dealers they really don't have that much interest or in depth knowledge of the cruisers they're selling...all the gizmos clothes etc are aimed at other market sectors.
In some ways the big 4 have the same problem but their size and clout masks it more.
