Yeah, must be an "English politeness" kind of thing. Here in the States, plenty of people have the attitude, "that's my lane I'm driving in, damit! Mine, mine, MINE! And how DARE you go by me while I have to WAIT IN TRAFFIC! I'll teach you a lesson and make it so you can't GO MY ME!"
