Congrats on the Trophy, Larry!

I’ve been waiting to hear how you liked it after you’ve had some time to learn to appreciate it. Tell me again what a Trophy gets you that a Tiger would not? While either would work for me, it’s the Tiger Sport 1050 I’ve longed for to come stateside.

My 2004 Speedmaster isn’t going anywhere. I took a buddy’s 2003 America for a spin last week and other than bars, wheels and brakes it’s the same bike.

My 2009 Speedmaster is a transformation though. We’re talking about changing bike types and getting used to something new?

I’m sure the Thruxton tank changes nothing, but the Norman Hyde foot controls make it a totally different bike. Moved the pegs back 4”. Did drop the front triple tree down a bit to level the tank - and that changed the handling.

I really like the more mid-oriented foot controls. My feet no longer feel heavy on the pegs.

Now to get some rubber tank knee pads for grip!
