Finally got the bike back together and took it for a short ride. Can't walk properly yet from back/leg pain but I can still ride. MRI of my lower back next week then the process of trying to get me fixed. If only I could replace my parts like on the T120!

Glad to hear that you are back in the saddle and hopefully with time the pain goes away.

2 wheeled rehab is the best!

I've sort of been in your position. Years ago I had some pretty bad back issues, sporadically. But I found that even if I could barely walk, riding the bike didn't hurt me at all. I always thought that was weird.

It is strange. Hobbling around for weeks but everything was working just as it should while riding. Gotta be a lesson in there somewhere.

Next phase. Back surgery in early Jan. Fuze the 3 lower vertebrae and clean out the canal the nerves run down. MRI showed that the bike wreck was the straw that broke, oh, wait it was my back... Had damage from years of playing too hard. Couldn't have been from work since I had pretty cushy jobs most of my life. Oh well. Riding shape by late spring is now my goal.

Glad to hear you are on the mend. Glad you were able to get out and ride. Hoping for the best in January. If they give you therapy do it and work through it.

Yeah, I've been thinking about this sort of thing lately. After many years of working in the trades, and at 60 years, I have my share of "failing, complaining parts". A left knee that sometimes goes kind of weak, and a shoulder that hurts periodically, and so forth. Here's the thing; If a man gets an education and works a desk job for years, he isn't tearing up his body. BUT, eventually at the end of his career, he is fat and out of shape and THAT takes a toll on his health. If a man works a strenuous job all his life, he is in pretty good shape because of the daily workout, BUT, his body parts are worn out and he has THOSE kinds of health problems. Ya just can't win!

Oh well. No one comes out of it alive. I guess if you still have most of your parts you were successful! I will be 70 in January so just pure age has taken a toll on me and being an adrenaline junkie most of my life hasn't helped. My Dad told me long ago that my lack of fear was both my biggest asset and biggest liability.

Moral of the story, this getting old and wise aint all it's cracked up to be.
