Looking at swapping out my solo corbin seat for the newer 2up America seat. Does anyone know if it is a direct swap?

Should be, so far as I can tell.Depends on what year...if it's originally had the two piece Triumph seat then no problems. If it's a later bike that came with the one piece seat then still fine but you won't have the midway seat pull toggle....but I don't think that'll be a difficulty....should still fit anyway.

This forum is awesome, thank you guys. So my current seat is a solo seat that has a Corbin logo on the rear passenger side of it. I've no idea what its worth because i can't find another like it.

Question? Why not just add the pillion and leave the Corbin solo in place? http://www.corbin.com/triumph/bonnevillesp.shtml

I'd hold onto it for a while until after you see if you really like the one piece seat. Corbin does sell the passenger seat to add on

I already purchased the full oem 2014 America seat. The reason is my pillion mounting point for the rear actually BROKE OFF. I didn't feel comfortable with repairing it, knowing that my passengers life is at stake. I got the seat for $80 shipped. Which is cheaper than most pillion seats alone.
My Corbin seat looks like the above linked, but without the chrome studs.

Hey guys, that's MY bike! My actual bike! The one pictured on the Corbin add!
I bought my 2002 BA from the original owner. He lives not far from the Corbin headquarters in Hollister, CA. He stated that one day soon after he got the bike he was out on a ride and someone motioned him to pull over, wanted to talk to him. Anyway, the guy was a Corbin employee and they were looking for a BA to build up their seat upgrade. They told him that if he would let them use his bike as the guinnea pig that he could have the development seat for free. Two weeks max. He agreed and left the bike at Corbin however, the development took far longer than they said. He was kinda ticked off that he didn't have his bike back after 6 weeks had passed. Anyway, he finally got his bike back and that very seat it on my bike now.

The molding of the plastic broke off. Where the bracket bolts into the base.
Also I have put up my solo seat on eBay if anyone is interested!

The seats look just like they did when they rolled out of the Corbin factory, except for the 15 years of wear and tear. The chrome buttons surrounding the seats are still shiny, no rust. The pilot's seat has a square receiver that the rider's backrest slides into. There is a small cloth flap that covers the receiver and velcros over it when the backrest is not in use. The foam is quite dense but comfy, I'm happy with it. My bike is a celebrity! That's kinda sad, I'm a first class loser but by BIKE is a celebrity!

Everything at Corbin takes longer than what they tell you, and be sure to have your chin strap buckled if you want to bitch to them about it. Their customer service is..well not customer friendly.

For those thinking of this swap, it did indeed fit. EFI seats WILL fit carb models.

Thanks. It's a lot wider than i thought and it sits farther back than my solo corbin so it stretches out my feet a little more.

Yep, I'm tall and find it roomier than the twin seats set up.
